Life Without Reality EP by Persohna – LKRMusic 09
Life Without Reality EP is the ninth launch from the Finnish techno and hardtechno label LKRMusic.
The album is expected to be launched on January 12th.
The work includes 4 original tracks by Lithuanian artist, Persohna and a remix of the label’s own boss, Leo Laker.
In BTS we have done an analysis of the EP to our style, so if you want to know more about these 5 tracks, check out what we have here!
Driven by Leo Laker, it is the only techno / hardtechno label -as far as we know- operating from Finland.
Perhaps being the only one in that part of Europe is a factor that has influenced the sound coming from this label.
LKRMusic has distinguished itself by having a raw, dark style and with a clear inclination towards an old school sound.
This particularity places it in the undergroud category.
The first release of LKRMusic entitled Joint Operations EP came to light in 2011.
While hardtechno is their main objective, Life Without Reality will be the third techno release by LKRMusic.
Life Without Reality EP
We begin with the track that gives name to the record.
Life Without Reality, has a lot of Groove yet on a dark background of accentuated basses.
Acute percussions also stand out.
At one point in there is a sort of dead circuit and a sound that imitates television static which is incorporated and persists until the end.
The vocals signal the momento to dance.
Leo Laker puts his mark on the track. If the original one feels more high-pitched, the remix of Life Without Reality is characterized by bass tones.
With a darker hue, the track makes you feel in the middle of some unknown road during the night, where you do not know which path you should take.
The pseudo vocals accompanying are an echo that grant more suspense to the track.
Blackout is also full of energy, but as its name implies, is a bit darker. It seems like someone has turned off the lights.
The game of synths is most noticeable in this track yet the artist keeps the Groove essence on.
La Nostra Famiglia has a different rhythm. It is the most threatening track of the EP. It seems that it was Il Padrino demanding respect for his family. Very marked beats are felt, nuanced with more refined synths.
This track has elements that give it a more modern sound.
To finish the EP, the track Music After Midnight is presented with percussions over more percussions.
It is clear that this is not a tune to start the night with, it was created for the moment when the party is on fire.
The vocals take you subtly into the past, but the rest of the effects and melodies bring you back to the present.
